Quin CHS administers public health funds for the 5 counties of Roseau, Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, and Red Lake. In addition, 2 other state programs are managed from within the Quin office - the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, and Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) program.
WIC is a special supplemental nutrition program that provides nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods and referrals to health and other social services for eligible pregnant and breastfeeding women, new mothers, babies and young children.
SHIP is a program which supports community-driven solutions to expand opportunities for active living, healthy eating, well-being, and commercial tobacco-free living. SHIP works with schools, child care, communities, health care, housing, and workplaces to achieve these wellness goals for everyone.
To find out more information regarding either of these programs, please contact the Quin office.
